Inner arts
Philosophy
Explosive Wing Chun
The inner arts teach unconditional kindness and promote established norms and fundamental values in dealing with other people. This also applies to the martial art itself and the inner struggle for one’s own perfection that it fosters.
The philosophy of Explosive Wing Chun aims to pursue this lineage according to the tradition of Dr. Leung Jang to further develop it while preserving and renewing knowledge and skills with its profound philosophy.
By transferring and applying the training methods and the associated wisdom into everyday life, Explosive Wing Chun not only gives you the ability to successfully manage physical conflicts – it also helps you to physical, mental and spiritual safety to be achieved in all situations.
This makes the Explosive Wing Chun system a way of life– a philosophy of life whose enthusiasm and fascination are almost impossible to resist.
Discipline
Traditional rules
Explosive Wing Chun Varna
A thorough and genuine knowledge of Explosive Wing Chun is highly valued and treated with great reverence in China. True knowledge of this system is passed down only from generation to generation – often to a select, secret circle. Therefore, it is understandable that certain codes of conduct for students must be an essential part of the training:
- Every student must arrive at training on time.
Should a delay be unavoidable in exceptional circumstances, you must apologize to the teacher or master before entering the training room. - Always be helpful to your training partners and respect your teachers.
- Never criticize other martial arts or their teachers.
- Questions and discussions among students during class are avoided, to ensure attention and minimize the risk of injury.
- Proper behavior begins with good manners, including the correct way to address the master and his teachers.
- Calling the master by name is considered extremely impolite and disrespectful.
He can be addressed as Master, the teacher as Sifu. - As a sign of respect. To respect the master or teacher and the tradition they honor, one greets each other with the classic. It is also common when entering and exiting the training room, to bow at the start and end of the lesson as well as after each correction.
